Story for 140km DWCC A Spin
An epic spin in preparation for this year's Dying Light 200km Audax. it's the biggest spin of the year for me and by the final 30 I was in the hurt locker.
Peter Harty led the spin and it brought me up along roads and hills I've not been before.
The weather was perfect when I set off at 745am and my preparation was great the night before. That's because I had all my gear ready and there was no messing about before I headed out the door.
The only blemish was a puncture at the 110km mark as we headed towards Garristown .
So while it's the biggest spin of the year I've not done and is a good prep for the event, I've not enough of these spins in advance of this year's dying light. So expect by 125 to 150 I'll be hitting the wall!
