Story for Dislocated shoulder ( clavicle Ac joint ), all ligaments snapped, surgery to fix or leave as is?

MTB canyon verve AL6 - only ridden 60 miles prior to my outing around where I live.
Decided to go into the woods where it was really muddy and on some tracks that not many cyclists go on.
Had to get off and walk in various locations and at one point lost my way and had no option but to turn around and go back.
I finally made it back to cycle path tarmac and was pressing on to give my legs a good workout.
thinking ahead and looking forward to an americano coffee at my favourite cafe in newmillerdam - I still had 15 miles of trails to get there.
with my mind drifting to thoughts of warm coffee and relaxing after some intense concentration on difficult tracks, the tarmac cycle path was welcome relief BUT nllack of focus for just one second and my front wheel drifted off the cycle path and off the edge. This propelled my off the bike and I landed on my head and right shoulder.
i lay there for what seemed like a minute or so but in reality was merely seconds. I checked my helmet and head, vision and hearing. Felt ok and lucky - I could move and everything felt sore but ok. I scrambled to my feet and remember thinking, as I walked back to my bike, that I think I should just go home. As I bent down to pick up my bike, an intense pain went through my right shoulder. The sound of the collarbone crunching will live with me forever. It felt wrong, I could see the bone sticking up out of my shoulder. I knew it was not good. Somehow I managed to just grab the bike and walk to the main road where I rang my old man to pick me up. He's knocking on abit and it seemed like he would never get there to pick me up.
He did, bless him, and four hours later we left the hospital.
damage report - bike various parts broken - me collarbone dislocated and all ligaments snapped, operation for AC stabilisation and in process of physio rehab which is a very slow and frustrating process. Let's hope the operation is successful and I am back on my bike soon.
