Snowy Afternoon Run to Barclay Farm

With a 10 mile race scheduled tomorrow, I had planned to take a nice leisurely afternoon run today after the forecasted 1-3 inches of snow had fallen. The forecasted 1-3 inches has been upgraded to 5-7 inches and I received an email that tomorrow's race has been shortened to a 5.5 miler due to the snow.

With snow still falling and some daylight left, I went for a short, slow run to Barclay Farm. I took along my camera.

A photo of our street. The majority of homeowners haven't shoveled their sidewalks yet.

The Barclay Farmstead trail is great, but it is extremely short. I added miles by running through the neighborhood and the nearby shopping center. I have to admit that I was happy to run on the snow cleared sidewalk and parking lot.

I crossed Route 70 back into my neighborhood and finished up the 3 miles -- my first snow run of 2017.
