Story for Hot, Humid, and Horrible 20/20 Lunch Ride w/ Jeff

20/20 is a route I created this year to measure my fitness level.  When I created this course I decided that I would not do it under 20mph on my road bike and not under 19 on my fixed gear.   It's a pretty typical course for this area with right around 1300 feel of climbing, but relatively smooth grades.  Today was HOT and so humid.  Jeff decided to join me even though I forwarned him that I wanted to put out a solid race pace effort.  He's a super strong SBC team mate so I knew he's be up for it regardless.  We headed out and hit it hard without much of a warm up.  I think between the two of us we probably lost a gallon of sweat!  It was the worst, but we pushed through with as much effort as we could give it until the very end.  I was quite surprised to find that we were only 38 seconds behind my best time on a much cooler day.  Not bad!  What doesn't kill you....
