Gray Morning Ride In The 50s

There were some issues this morning with my morning tasks so I was a bit late getting on the road...  The temperature was in the upper 50s, it had stopped raining a few hours ago, and sunrise was at 7:04.  I just wore my regular cycling clothes, including the white jersey which shows up best in the dark.  It turns out I was just a bit chilly, especially going down hills and getting that extra bit of wind from going as fast as I can but it was tolerable.  I'm thinking lower 50s call for longer sleeves, upper 40s call for longer pants and maybe full gloves, and then lower 40s may call for a parka!

I didn't ride anywhere new today, just kind of rearranged a few segments and even included some I don't always do and excluded some I usually do.  After all, I did have to get back home in time to get ready for work!   A few of the segments I really enjoy are Flying Through The Hood, Box of Chocolates, Something Wick This Way Comes, Just For The Fawn Of It, and Bogartin' It.  I'm not sure why...

My goal was to be on Plainview with a good view to the east at sunrise.  I was, but the sky didn't cooperate:

After the photo op fail I decided to try to get the 20 miles in and hit the shower.  We plan to do the Bicycle Outlet Monday Night Ride tonight.  It's the last one of 2016 and 2frys.com is helping make it extra special by buying some pizza for everyone!  We hope to see you there!
