Sucking Wind

There are some rides that just feel great. This was not one of them. I think there are several reasons for this.

One, I spent over a week off of my bike while in Lousiana. I had planned to ride the morning I left but it was raining buckets. Yeah, some folks are super cyclists. They will ride in the dead of winter, in a snowstorm, with -20* temps. They are heroes. Not me. I'll ride in the rain. But, I'm not stupid.

Two, is it possible for your lungs to acclimate (not sure that's the right term) to the coastal O2 levels in a week's time? Because I sure seemed to have been haveing a hard time taking up oxygen.

Three, I was still exhausted from a week of hanging sheetrock.
