Story for Afternoon Ride - Thamesmead - Hendon - Thamesmead (Caught up in Tower Bridge Road Closure)
An interesting ride. Set out from Thamesmead heading towards Greenwich, then New Cross on towards Elephant & Castle and through Westminster to Leicester Square. From here I passed through Camden and up to Hampstead and Hendon where I cut back through my old route home when I still worked at Hendon Central. All was going well till I got to Tower Bridge to find the road closed to vehicular traffic. I had to walk over the bridge. Sadly, this affected my average speed but these things do happen. All in all, it was a nice ride.
