Coffeeneuring 2016 - Going for 3rds

I'm a weekend warrior, and within that I'm a single-day weekend warrior. Meaning, I usually only ride Saturday or Sunday, rarely both. This weekend I had some car issues, which is a good "kick-in-the-pants" way to get me to bike wherever I needed to go. First stop was brunch with friends. Even though it was an overcast and very chilly day, I still opted for an iced coffee since I did work up a sweat getting there. The brunch place is in Santa Cruz and it's called The Buttery. I think the name says it all. They are famous for their cakes, which I've never tried, but they also do a very brisk brunch service. I had a delicious Croque Madame, then chased it with a very good, strong cup of iced coffee. All while catching up with friends. The Buttery is pretty bike friendly, providing a bike rack outside near the picnic tables, and have good service. On my trip home I stopped at the local Sunday Farmer's Market since it was on my way. Picked up a few things for the week, then headed home. An entire weekend of not using car once! Already looking forward to my 4th cup of coffee.
