18k in the Andalusian heat

Nothing extreme really, though I've always found the idea of running in a desert-like landscape very fascinating.  Where I live the climate is very different, so I was determined not to let go the opportunity.

I leave the map of my run here, as it's not really marked on Google Maps and in the hope it could be of inspiration for others.

The path I've chosen connects two pueblos on the Andalusian coast, for a total of 18km, running through desolate fields right under two dormant volcanos.

Along the whole run, one of the theme songs from The good, the bad and the ugly kept coming back:
How ends the story, whose is the glory/
Ask if we dare, our comrades out there who sleep.

(The Story of a Soldier, Ennio Morricone). As I've discovered, parts of the movies were filmed in Spain, although not in this very region.
