Joplin with Kelly

I've been wanting to ride to Joplin for a while now.  For a few years in a row, it was an annual event for me in September.  Some of us from church would ride to Joplin, the wives would meet us there for the evening, we would spend the night, and ride back the next day.  Last year broke the string, and since I'm teaching in Sunday School the next couple of weeks, followed by events every weekend, it was apparent that it wasn't going to happen in that format again this year.

Not being one to give up easily, I decided to cut it in half and see if Kelly would want to ride one-way with me.  We talked Pam into meeting us there and bringing us back (dinner at Olive Garden was the reward), so we were good to go.

As far as centuries go, it was pretty uneventful, but one sign of a good day on the bike is that there were no issues or fiascos!  That described our day to a T.  Beautiful weather, mostly cooperative wind, light traffic, and several stops combined for a good day on the bike!
