Story for Easy run with cadence to Dulwich and Vic Park. Ankle seems ok

This is a test of the "Storyteller" app.

In May this year I got two injuries, hamstring tendonitis and an ankle joint impingement (actually it's in the subtalar joint but ankle is easier to say). After two short combacks with return to injury in June and August, and now on the third "comback" I seem to be going ok. Except...

This week - on Tuesday evening - I did my first interval session in a long time. 6x800m with two mins jog between. What was I thinking? I ran it like I was at my prime in 2014!! Anyway, after the session on Tuesday evening and on some of Wednesday, my ankle pain returned. I don't think it appreciated a hard session with a bang like that. My weekly distance has been slowly increasing, but all at an easy pace. I should know better, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc all need time to adapt to increased loads like this!

I tried an easy run on Thursday and by 7km the ankle was just starting to twinge again, so I stopped at 9km. Did some ligament massage with Voltaren gel on Thursday and Friday and by today, managed to do this run pain free. So maybe I'm lucky and got out of this one lightly! We will see.

Pace was easy but HR was higher than it should be. The intervals on Tues really knocked me around. Ankle didn't like it and I've felt sore all week.
