2018 Running Goals
This year I set myself 5 running goals
1. Run a 5k in under 21 minutes
2. Run a 5k in under 20 minutes
3. Run a 10k in under 50 minutes
4. Run a 10k in under 45 minutes
5. Complete a half marathon
Coming in to 2018 my 5k PB was just over 22 minutes, I figured knocking a minute off was possible, but 2 minutes would be a challenge. At the time of writing my 5k pb is 21:01 - so close, yet so far. It's a similar story for my 10k as well, I had a previous pb of 51:01, but in January achieved 47:16 at the Speke Trust10. Improving this by over 2 minutes feels challenging, but something I'm definitely going to strive to achieve.
My 5th target to complete a 1/2 marathon was originally a goal for the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll half marathon in May, however, a little bit of gentle persuasion from Sarah meant that I actually completed this in February at the Wrexham Village Bakery...So now I have a new 1/2 marathon goal...
